It's a pallet wrapper where the load never moves. Instead of a spinning turntable, a powered arm carrying the film carriage rotates around a stationary pallet, wrapping it from base to top. Because you're not spinning the load, it's the go-to machine for very heavy, very light, or unstable pallets, and because the load stays put, the arm can cycle quickly, handling up to about 50 pallets a day.
How it works
- Stage the pallet on the floor beneath the arm with a forklift or pallet jack, no turntable to load onto.
- Attach the film tail to the base of the load.
- Press start. The overhead arm rotates around the stationary pallet, applying film bottom-to-top and back down, with reinforced wraps at the base.
- Cut the film when the cycle finishes and move the wrapped pallet out.
Because the load itself is never rotated, there's no centrifugal force to shift boxes or topple a tall, top-heavy stack, the wrap goes on tight while the pallet stays exactly where you set it. Powered pre-stretch stretches the film before it reaches the load, cutting film cost per pallet just like a turntable.
