What is a semi-automatic turntable stretch wrapper?

It's a powered pallet wrapper where the operator loads the pallet and attaches the film, then the machine does the wrapping: the turntable rotates the load while a film carriage travels up and down, applying an even, tight wrap. It's the affordable middle ground between slow, inconsistent hand-wrapping and a fully automatic system, ideal for standard, stable loads up to about 25 pallets a day.

How it works

  1. Load the pallet onto the turntable with a forklift or pallet jack.
  2. Attach the film tail to the base of the load.
  3. Press start. The turntable spins while the film carriage wraps bottom-to-top and back down, with reinforced wraps at the base.
  4. Cut the film when the cycle finishes, and move the wrapped pallet out.

Powered pre-stretch stretches the film up to ~250% before it hits the load, so you use dramatically less film per pallet than hand-wrapping, often paying back the machine on film savings alone.
