Specialty Stretch Films for Demanding Loads

When standard film is not enough: vented, UVI, colored or opaque, and heavy-duty stretch films matched to loads that need airflow, sun protection, security, or extra strength. Delivered across Houston at the best price in the market.

What are specialty stretch films?

Specialty stretch films are wrap engineered for a specific problem that standard film cannot solve well: loads that need to breathe, sit in the sun, stay secure or color-coded, or resist punctures from sharp, heavy contents. Choosing the right specialty film protects the goods and the load in transit while keeping your cost per pallet under control. We supply the four most-requested types below and match them to your application.

The types we supply

  • Vented / netting film, with openings that let air pass through the wrap. Ideal for produce, plants, and other loads that must breathe or shed heat and moisture, so you stabilize the pallet without trapping condensation or causing spoilage.
  • UVI film, blended with a UV inhibitor that slows sun damage to the film and the goods beneath it. Made for loads stored outdoors or under long light exposure, where standard film would break down and fail.
  • Colored / opaque film, for security and coding. Colored film lets you sort loads by product, customer, or destination at a glance, while opaque film conceals contents for privacy and theft deterrence.
  • Heavy-duty film, tougher, higher-puncture-resistance blends for sharp-edged, dense, or heavy loads that would tear lighter film. It holds containment where economy film gives out.

Matching the film to the job

Specialty films cost more than standard wrap, so the goal is to use them only where they earn their keep. Tell us what you are wrapping, where it is stored, and how it ships, and we will point you to the exact film your loads need, and only where they need it. Many operations run a standard machine film for most pallets and a specialty film for a specific product line.

Runs on your machine or by hand

Most specialty films come in both machine and hand grades, so they load onto your automatic wrapper or rotary arm system the same way your standard film does, or wrap by hand for lower volumes. Because we supply the wrappers too, we make sure the specialty roll you order runs cleanly on your equipment.

Specialty Stretch Film FAQs

When do I need vented or netting stretch film?
Vented or netting film has openings that let air move through the wrap, so it suits produce, plants, and other loads that must breathe or dissipate heat and moisture. It stabilizes the pallet while preventing the condensation and spoilage a solid film can trap.
What is UVI stretch film for?
UVI film includes a UV inhibitor that slows sun damage to both the film and the goods underneath. It's made for loads stored outdoors or under long light exposure, where standard film would break down and fail. Tell us how long loads sit outside and we'll spec the right rating.
Why choose colored or opaque stretch film?
Colored film lets you color-code loads by product, customer, or destination for faster sorting, while opaque film hides contents for security and privacy. Both are practical tools for warehouses that want quicker identification or discreet shipments.
